The latest new business project for Truth Marketing is the brand UK furniture superstore ‘Simpson and Teale’. Were currently working on a new identity for the company based on the brand positioning strategy of ‘modern meets tradition’.

Aimed at the ‘Next’ and ‘The Pier’ sector for furniture, ‘Simpson and Teale’ are looking to supply a high standard of quality at a cheaper premium than its competitors AND have the furniture in stock available for delivery within two days.
Initially Simpson and Teale will be looking at building brand identity and online marketing, establishing themselfs with a strong e-commerce site. Along side the online developmnet we will be focusing on all offline activity to help drive footfall to all stores around the UK.

“Were in the preliminary stages of the project and brand research has begun with a simple yet strong logo designed to fit the market positioning of ‘modern meets tradition’. Having impressed with our previous development of Soloro Shoe Boutique’s were hoping to take the ‘Simpson and Teale’ superstore to a wider audience and create a stronger foot hold in the furniture market both online and offline.

Its early stages yet and were needing a few things finalising so watch this space”.

Well snow bells rang plenty this year with record snow coverage over Christmas and New Year and Truth Marketing celebrated twice as much as usual due to Tim getting married and a successful 2009.
Christmas parties a go-go, with weddings, secret santa’s and stag nights were the order of December and mobile phone cameras were all there to capture the evidence. Read the rest of this entry »

He loves to travel as we all know, and every year Cory gets invited back to the annual American Illustrator awards in New York and we here about it for weeks. He’s a country bumpkin at heart even though he’s lived in London and Sydney, but he still enjoys the odd trip to the big apple and who could blame him. Expenses paid and he gets to wax lyrical on creative excellence with people who will actually listen. Not even listen but decide the outcome of awards for one of the biggest Illustration events in America.
“Its a real honour to be asked to judge the American Illustrator awards, not to mention the treat of New York for a few days.

I’ve been invited as a judge since 2006 and I seem to have made a contribution to the awards process enough to be invited back. Read the rest of this entry »

Truth Marketing had a busy time of it throughout November and December when we won our most recent new business win, Soloro Shoe Boutique’s.

Having put up a great presentation of our skills as a full service B2B agency we were called out of the blue from Soloro and the first question they asked us was “…whats your diary like”. The diary as we all know is regularly full but there always seems to be space for new business wins. So with a pause I asked ‘what do you you have in mind’…”I think we need to sit down, can you see us this afternoon?”
In my experience this conversation is both welcomed and feared at the same time which can be an interesting feeling. So off we went to meet with our new client to se what they had in mind. 2 hours later we were signed up to deliver a CGI interior room design for their shoe boutiques, along with packaging and PR shots, two brochures and a re-branded website. We agreed to do all of this within three weeks too. This part was where the strange feeling was coming from on the original phone call.

None the less, our new clients seemed very appreciative of our B2B direct marketing strategy and our ability to turnaround the campaign within the time agreed.
With the B2B UK market slowing with the recession, Soloro focused on expanding their brand abroad. After many months of touting their shoe boutique’s, they now had a once in a life time business opportunity in China and the Middle East where brand new malls were being erected at an alarming rate. Soloro had been invited to present the business plan for a potential of over 150 shops opening in the said countries by the end of 2010 and had zero targeted marketing to profile their services.
Sounds great…the meeting was in 3 weeks.

2 weeks and 5 days later we delivered the entire campaign signed off and ready for Soloro to expand throughout the world.
“Were very proud as a B2B marketing company to have not only delivered this project under the pressure, but to have delivered it with a high standard of creativity. Everyone pulled together and weekends were put on hold along with evenings and Sam’s Pilates. With the additional shop interior design to complete, the client clearly thought they had asked too much and was over the moon when presented with a finished campaign ready to go.

We look forward to working with Soloro in the future and who knows, there may be new competition for Kurt Geiger in the future. Thanks to the team once again for their dedication and individual talent.”
